Memory Grid Archive 2007

Interactive Exhibition Space

Just as we keep photo albums of important images from our lives, the moving image is a powerful way to record our memories.

For the Memory Grid, ACMI has collected over 100 hours of film that record the unique stories of everyday people and places.

Memory Grid contains a wealth of imaginative animated short films, student films, interactive works and community productions. Some films are personal and nostalgic, others are powerfully political.

Many works have had limited screenings in public, with the Memory Grid the only place where they can be seen.
