Gold Pass $87.50 Valid for any seven different films excluding Gary Lucas & The Golem. Gold Pass patrons are required to select and acquire all of their session tickets at the time they purchase their Gold Pass.
All prices quoted include GST. There are no concession tickets available. Seating for all Festival sessions is fully reserved.
It is strongly advised that, where possible, patrons should book their Festival tickets well in advance to avoid possible disappointment. If past Festivals are a guide, many sessions will be sold out prior to the screenings.
how to book
The Festival will be held in ACMI Cinemas, Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Federation Square, Flinders Street, Melbourne. The Cinemas are located on Level 2. The Festival Box Office is located on Level 1.
Festival tickets may be purchased by phone or in person at ACMI Cinemas. Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards will be accepted for all ticket purchases.
By phone:
- Please call the ACMI Cinemas' Festival Telephone Bookings Line on (03) 8663 2222.
- Credit-card telephone bookings for all Festival sessions will commence at 10am on Wed 24 Oct, and will continue between 10am and 6pm on each weekday (Mon to Fri) thereafter (excluding Melbourne Cup Day, Tue 6 Nov).
- On weekends and Melbourne Cup Day, Festival tickets may only be purchased in person at the ACMI Box Office.
- All telephone credit-card ticket bookings will be forwarded by post. If time does not permit postage, arrangements will be made for patrons to collect their tickets at the Box Office located on Level 1.
- A booking fee of $1.30 per ticket, plus a handling and postage charge of $3.50, or an express post charge of $6, per transaction will apply.

- Advance ticket sales for all Festival sessions will be available from the Box office located on Level 1, from 10am Wed 24 Oct, and will continue on each day thereafter during Festival ticket office hours from 10am until 15 minutes after the start of the last Festival screening, and from 10am to 6pm on all other days when there are no Festival screenings.

- Festival-goers are advised to arrive in good time for Festival screenings if they wish to purchase or collect their Festival tickets on the day.
- All Festival tickets, once purchased, are not refundable and cannot be exchanged.
- Please do not bring large bags, briefcases, laptops, backpacks, shopping bags, etc. with you as these cannot be stored at the Cinemas.
- Patrons who wish to purchase their Festival tickets at the Cinemas are encouraged to complete a Festival Booking Form for multiple ticket purchases, including Gold Passes.
- Queries (if any) about Festival tickets and credit card transactions should be directed to the Cinema Box Office or to the phone booking agency, as the case may be, through which the tickets were originally purchased.
- Dates, times and programmes are correct at the time of publication, but they may need to be altered because of circumstances beyond our control. We therefore reluctantly reserve the right to withdraw, change and replace programmes without prior notice.
- All Festival films are restricted to persons 18 years and over over with the exception of Gary Lucas & The Golem which is Classified G General: Suitable for all ages.
