When Dad inherits a dress salon in a bustling city, the Rudd Family travel from the country to investigate their windfall. In the tradition of Ken Hall's favourite comic 'fish out of water' formula, Dad's bush honesty is severely tested by the crookedness of city business operators.
An extravagant fashion show interspersed with slapstick comedy makes for an entertaining ride as, faced with disaster, the Rudds throw their all into the dress business and make their salon the talk of the town.
