A five-day festival of fine films for discerning seniors, presented by ACMI and the Department of Human Services as part of the Victorian Seniors Festival. Highlights include a focus on recent films from Australia and the Pacific, including Ned Kelly and Whale Rider, films from Europe and Asia and a program of films that celebrate music in the movies. The festival also includes a special co-presentation with the 14th Melbourne Queer Film Festival of the Oscar-nominated Far from Heaven.

Seniors Film Festival patron Charles 'Bud' Tingwell

We are delighted to continue our relationship with our Seniors Film Festival patron, acclaimed star of stage, screen and radio, Charles 'Bud' Tingwell.  Bud's most recent credits in a long and distinguished career include the TV series, Legacy of the Silver Shadow, a touring production of The Man From Snowy River Arena Spectacular, a feature role in the Australian feature film The Inside Story and a cameo in Gregor Jordan's Australian-produced feature film Ned Kelly, which opens this year's film festival.
