| On a Clear Day |
Frank is a hard-working, community-minded 55 year old who suddenly finds himself out of a job.
With no clear direction for the first time in his life, Frank struggles to find fresh purpose. When a mate jokingly suggests that he might consider a cross-channel swim to France, Frank sets his sights on the marathon event, though his wife Joan (Brenda Blethyn) can hardly be said to share his enthusiasm.

Calendar Girls and
The Full Monty."
