gamers get ready
Do you fancy yourself Jack Bauer from the television series 24? Video gamers are stepping inside hit TV shows and living out the action as their favourite characters.
Give your console a rest and get into ACMI to find out what happens when your favourite television show enters the gaming sphere.
Angela Ndalianis, Associate Professor of Cinema Studies at the University of Melbourne, will explore the current trend of creating computer games from film and television franchises through outstanding examples of the genre such as CSI, The Sopranos and The X-Files.
Angela's research focuses on contemporary cinema and new entertainment media. She is especially interested in exploring the parallels between baroque technologies and media of the 17th century and our current neo-baroque media forms such as theme park architectures and technologies, digital media and computer game theory and practice.
