Be at ACMI Cinemas on Tuesday 5 July to meet for a very special Popcorn Taxi event: an exclusive preview screening of the side-splittingly funny film The Yes Men, to be followed by a phone Q&A - live from Scotland - with one of the 'Yes Men' themselves, Mr Mike Bonnano.
The Popcorn Taxi screening of The Yes Men will be hosted by journalist and Bob Brown biographer James Norman, and is happening two days before the film's official cinema release on 7 July.
For those who are not in the know, The Yes Men is a hilarious feature length documentary from the makers of the acclaimed American Movie (1999).
The 'Yes Men' are Mike and Andy. They pose as World Trade Organisation representatives and propose absurd solutions to impossible problems. At a conference in Finland they call for the re-introduction of slavery, at a university lecture in NY they maintain they can resolve the problem of world starvation by re-cycling human waste into McDonald's hamburgers!
