dial H-I-S-T-O-R-Y, is the acclaimed hijacking documentary that eerily foreshadowed 9-11. In this hypnotic montage which is both about the history of hijacking and the concept of history, we meet the skyjackers who fought their revolutions and won airtime on the passenger planes of the 1960s.

Johan Grimonprez blends archive footage with surreal and banal themes including fast food, pet statistics, disco and quirky home movies, all in a channel-hopping style. With a soundtrack by the sample artist David Shea, Grimonprez produces a compelling work that creates an unlikely, yet powerful merger, between criticism and entertainment.
