| Beethoven's Hair |
Based on Russell Martin's best-seller of the same name, Weinstein's accomplished screen adaptation follows the trail of a lock of Beethoven's hair.
A lock is snipped as a keepsake by a young musical acolyte as the great composer lay dying in 1827. Its journey spans two centuries, several owners and ever-more intriguing circumstances.
Purchased at auction by two passionate Beethoven aficionados - Ira Brilliant and Alfredo Guevara - in the US in 1994, Guevara, (a urologist), commits himself to unlocking the forensic reasons for Ludwig's untimely demise.
