In February and March the Memory Grid will celebrate ACMI's warm and enduring relationship with the Centre for Animation and Interactive Media (AIM) at RMIT.
Since its inception, AIM has consistently produced some of the most exciting and innovative graduate animators in Australia.
ACMI has supported the centre since 1992 by collecting its graduate work, making it available through the ACMI lending collection and most recently by exhibiting exemplary works in the Memory Grid. This retrospective highlights a selection of AIM student work produced during the course of this relationship and beyond - a top class package of award winning animation and interactive work from one of Australia's most recognised tertiary courses.
Includes short animated works dating from 1992 and seven interactive works selected by AIM director David Atkinson as representative of the best interactive work produced by the centre to now. Includes works by local new media stars Troy Innocent and Mark Lycette.
