The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority and The Australian Centre for the Moving Image are once again co-hosting the Season of Excellence's Top Screen student media festival for 2004.
Top Screen profiles the state's best screen based art and moving image works created by year 12 VCE students from around Victoria. The screenings allow students, their families, schools and the general community to celebrate the diverse talents of these young artists and filmmakers. The work is given the opportunity to be screened on the 'big screen' in state of the art cinemas in the same way that professional works are screened. As well as screenings there will be opportunities to meet the filmmakers, who will discuss their work and encourage younger year levels to create and communicate with the moving image.
