Armed with cameras, are video activists gathering evidence or invading privacy? Obstruction combines footage from when efforts have been stopped - from a hand obstructing the lense to the violent force of threats and attacks.
This work is a compilation of short video sequences sources from documentary filmmakers, journalists, and others who would call themselves video-activists. Obstruction offers an insight into the difficulties and potential hazards of gathering evidence or proof. In doing so, it questions whether the public's right to know overrules the right to privacy or secrecy by the individual and the corporation.
