A selection of the winners from the 2005 Machinima Festival presented by Festival Director, Paul Marino, including;Winner Best Direction - Whiplash: The Movie (Jake Hughes, 2005). Created using the Whiplash gaming engine to profile the game, Whiplash: The Movie tells the tale of the daring escape of Redmond, a California white rabbit, and Spanx, a long-tailed weasel, test subjects for Genron, a large, evil corporation that makes products with horrible and disgusting purpose (like do-it-yourself surgery machines). Coupled together their fate is linked and their skills combined.
Winner IFC Award for Excellence in Machinima Scriptwriting P.A.N.I.C.S - (Rooster Teeth Productions, 2005). P.A.N.I.C.S., or "People Acting Normal in Crazy-Ass Situations" is a satirical take on the first person shooter: F.E.A.R. This limited series follows the exploits of Bravo team as they experience both FEAR and funny all at the same time.

Created using the Max Payne 2 engine, Only The Strong Survive, tells the story of Andy and Brown, trained assassins working for the mysterious Organization. The long-time partners are sent to eliminate a classified target. They wait for their target in the courtyard of the apartment building. But something isn't right...
Winner Best Off The Shelf Machinima Return is the tale of Voldigar of Stromgarde, a grizzled warrior finally returning to his beloved home and bride only to find his past in ruins. Utilizing the World of Warcraft game engine and lore, film-makers Terran "Liadov" Gregory and Ezra "Voldigar" Ferguson take Machinima down the road of the classic cinematic fantasy epic.
