scavenger hunt

developer
Scavenger Hunt was designed, programmed and animated by a team of students from DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond, Washington, USA. Five programmers, all in their Senior year of the BS in Real-Time Interactive Simulation program, worked side-by-side with 3 artists from the Associate of Arts in 3D Animation program to create a 3D world in which players participate in an old-fashioned scavenger hunt in a 1950s style neighborhood.

The buildings, costumes, animations and colors were chosen to envelope the player in this suburban world. The art tools included 3DS Max and Photoshop, while the programmers created all tools and did all the programming of AI, physics, collision, multiplayer, networking and gameplay. Music was added by the company GreenWire, located in Vancouver, BC.
