Blackmail
Establishing Hitchcock's reputation as a director of sound films, Blackmail explores love versus duty within a landscape of deception, murder and betrayal.

Credited as Britian's first feature-length 'talkie', the plot centres on an accidental murderess, her Scotland Yard boyfriend and a devilish blackmailer, who threatens to unravel their happiness.

Originally produced as a silent feature, Hitchcock virtually remade the whole film (including dubbing his lead actress, who had a thick German accent). As a result, two complete versions of the film exist today. Blackmail will screen in its sound version.
