Fool For Love
Having lassoed the jukebox in a hotel bar out in the middle of the Santa Fe desert to get everyone's attention, Eddy (Sam Shepard) launches into the bittersweet tale of love gone awry.

May (Kim Basinger) is the diffident, gin-slinging girlfriend, who doesn't take too well to news of Eddy's dalliances with a mystery woman.

Altman invests the flashbacks in Shepard's story with a dream-like quality and weaves an evocative soundtrack replete with songs of jealousy, devotion and infidelity that perfectly sustains the mood.
