Flashbang Studios was founded in 2003 by Mike Kime, Matthew Wegner, Shane Wegner, and Sean Weilage. Three of the founding members are artists who met each other during university. Flashbang's first title, Beesly's Buzzwords, was a finalist in the Independent Games Festival 2004, for which the company was the recipient of the inaugural "Project Goldmaster" award. The award resulted in creating a game for Sealab 2021 - a Cartoon Network property. Glow Worm is Flashbang Studios' third title. The company is currently finishing production on its next game for the casual market, Potion Motion.
