An Evening with Robin Hunicke

Robin Hunicke will play 'Journey' live at ACMI

American video game designer and producer, Robin Hunicke, comes to ACMI next week for a live gameplay event in which she will share her insights into the acclaimed video game Journey.


Robin Hunicke is an influential, innovative and inspiring figure on the US indie gaming scene, providing an enthusiastic, youthful voice for female game developers.


In this exciting live event Robin will play the critically acclaimed Journey, one of the most anticipated video games from one of the most interesting gaming studios (thatgamecompany), and will discuss its creation. From game mechanics and the conception of early demos to the important decisions every developer faces, Robin will share fascinating insights into game development as well as her career.


Robin, who has worked at Electronic Arts and thatgamecompany and is currently working at Tiny Speck, will answer questions from the audience in this intimate event designed for fans and industry alike.


Robin's visit coincides with the final week of ACMI's Game Masters exhibition which celebrates the world's most influential game developers with over 125 playable games, including Journey. For the final week of the exhibition, tickets to Game Masters are only $10 each. Game Masters must close at 6pm on Sunday 28 October 2012.
