Australian Idol judge Mark Holden will join Rob Weekes (creator of legendary Australian music show Countdown), Dylan Lewis (ABC's Recovery) and Julia Zemiro (SBS's RocKwiz) to find out just what makes music TV go 'bada bing bada boo'.
For the past 50 years, Australian music and television have had a unique relationship, with TV shows having the enormous power to make, or break, aspiring stars.
Featuring as part of the Australian Centre for the Moving Image's TV50 exhibition, Counting Down Music TV will go back over favourite moments from shows like Bandstand, Sing Sing Sing, Rage, MTV, Australian Idol, and of course Countdown.
Relive the most memorable music TV with The Beatles, Molly Meldrum and Prince Charles, Abba, John Farnham, Molly Meldrum and Iggy Pop, Jason and Kylie, Molly Meldrum and.well, everyone really.
