Museum Shops Association of Australia's National Conference

Wednesday 5 August - Thursday 6 August 2009

In 2009 the Museum Shops Association of Australia's National Conference will take place at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) in Melbourne.
Conference topics across the two days include art publishing, membership programs, catering contracts, retail marketing, visual merchandising, partnerships with private companies, craft markets within arts institutions, entrepreneurial leadership studies plus case studies hot off the press from the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

On Thursday 6 August, the one-day Cultural Business Forum will provide optional sessions within the 2009 MSAA national conference. It complements and extends the retail sphere by addressing issues and case studies relevant to a wide variety of commercial enterprises within arts institutions.

The MSAA conference will also offer a retail supplier's market, a conference dinner, and a behind-the-scenes tour of ACMI's spectacular screen exhibition due to open in September.

To register for the conference or the one-day Cultural Business Forum, please download and print the conference schedule [PDF 215KB], complete the registration form on the last page and return to the designated address with your payment.
