Join us for a series of exclusive screenings and a panel talk about prominent Victorian women, all firsts in their fields.

Over the past century, women have been at the forefront of political change and civic reform, however they have had to fight for their beliefs; for the right to vote; for professional advancement; and for equality under the law.

In 2008 ACMI, in partnership with the Office of Women's Policy Department of Planning and Community development, produced a series of short documentaries for the Celebration of the Centenary of Women's Vote. The films provide a fascinating insight into the lives and careers of eight amazing women, all first in their respective fields.
