Australian Malaysian Film Festival 2009

This marquee event showcases Malaysia's latest and best films and facilitates an understanding of Malaysian society, history and culture.

The opening night launch will be filled with music, dance, exhibitions, great food, special guest speeches and, of course, the opening film. This year's program also includes daytime screenings of films chosen especially for school-aged audiences.

The 2009 festival will be dedicated to renowned filmmaker Yasmin Ahmad, who tragically passed away earlier this year leaving behind a world-class body of work rich in substance and even richer in integrity.
