Experience a collection of short films by artists with a disability from the Art Day South collective.
Art Day South is a cross-disciplinary contemporary arts project for artists with an intellectual disability. The Art Day South studio is based in Dingley, in Melbourne's inner-South, consisting of a core group of 16 artists, some of whom have been with the group for more than a decade.
The collection of works on display in ACMI's Video Garden covers a diverse range of media, from hand drawn animation to digital works made with custom software and motion tracking technology.
Most recently, the group has been inspired by the works of William Kentridge and has been creating works in homage to his unique and distinctive techniques.
