Taxi to the Dark Side
This new documentary takes a critical look at the Bush Administration's policy on torture by investigating the death of an Afghan taxi driver who, after being taken into custody at Bagram Air Force Base, suffered fatal injuries at the hands of US soldiers.

Melbourne-born producer Eva Orner (a former production manager on Blue Heelers and producer of Pip Mushin's Josh Jarman) was the only Australian to win an Oscar earlier this year when Taxi to the Dark Side garnered the Best Documentary award.

The film will be introduced by Scottish-Palestinian journalist and writer Maher Mughrabi. With more than twelve years' experience on newsdesks in Britain, the Middle East and Australia, Mughrabi is currently Foreign Desk News Editor for The Age in Melbourne.
