Jazz great Miles Davis makes his acting debut as Billy Cross, a jazz trumpeter and idol to John Anderson (Colin Friels).
John is a frustrated dingo trapper facing a mid-life crisis whose dreams of playing jazz in Paris are fading.
When he makes a pilgrimage to Paris to meet Anderson, John discovers that he already has the best of both worlds.
