Strictly Ballroom
Uncovering a rich vein of humour in the refined world of ballroom dancing, this bright, breezy and immensely likable musical comedy was Baz Luhrmann's confident feature debut.

It's all sparkles, snarls and sequins as young dance star Scott (Paul Mercurio) breaks the rules and tackles the establishment with his (gasp) new improvised dance steps, developing an appealing romance with his ugly-duckling-to-swan partner Fran (Tara Morice) along the way.

Featuring hilarious performances from Pat Thompson, Barry Otto, Peter Whitford and Gia Carides, the lively, original and downright charming Strictly Ballroom is strictly entertainment!
