The Independent follows the ill-fated journey of political hopeful Marty Browning (Lee Mason).
Written by Andrew O'Keefe and John Studley, the film responds to a growing dissatisfaction with Australia's social and political landscape and is the feature film debut from the Melbourne-based Apocalypse Films.
Followed by a panel discussion with producer Jim Xyga, writer/directors Andrew O'Keefe and John Studley, and other film industry experts.
