Mars Attacks!
Mars Attacks!
Martians decide to invade Earth and terrorise the planet. Why? Because they can! ("Nice planet. We'll take it!")

Burton directs this immensely enjoyable spoof of '50s sci-fi B movies, in which the hapless citizens of Earth face imminent doom from ray gun-toting little green aliens, with an anarchic sense of mischief and a budget large enough to convince the director - on this occasion - to set traditional stop-motion aside for dazzling digital animation courtesy of Industrial Light & Magic.

With 'President' Jack Nicholson and his First Lady (Glenn Close) installed in the White House and Rod Steiger's General Decker agitating for a nuke 'em approach to the aliens' invasion, humanity's chances are iffy at best.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Pierce Brosnan, Annette Bening and a galaxy of Hollywod stars get into Burton's groove in hilariously deadpan supporting roles.
