Tim Burton on the set of Corpse Bride
Acclaimed filmmaker and prolific artist Tim Burton offers a unique insight into his creative process.
Hosted by Margaret Pomeranz, this masterclass will reveal the workings behind Burton's creative genius and provide a rare view into his cinematic world of melancholic misfits, gothic suburbia and contemporary fairytales.
Across a range of genres, from biography to science fiction, animated tales to musicals, Burton will share his working process, discuss his long-time collaborations and his often fraught journey to realise his artistic vision on film.
Having been extensively involved in the development of the Tim Burton exhibition at MoMA and its restaging here at ACMI, this masterclass will also look at the process of distilling Burton's creative genius into an exhibition.
An Auslan interpreter will be present at this event.
