Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, is so taken with the bright baubles and shiny packages of Christmas Town, he decides to pack them all up and take them back to his much gloomier home, usurping the mantle of 'Sandy Claws'.

A feature length stop-motion animation based on a story and characters developed by Burton, its ghoulish imagery and grim tone are unmistakable signatures of the director's visual style and thematic concerns.

Featuring the voices of Danny Elfman (who composed the film's score and contributed songs and lyrics), Chris Sarandon and Catherine O'Hara (Beetlejuice).

"This brilliant combination of stop-motion animation, three-dimensional sets and superbly imaginative graphics brings animation to new peaks" The Washington Post
