Love Serenade (1996)
Introverted and slightly odd, Dimity (Miranda Otto) and her lovelorn sister, Vicki-Ann (Rebecca Frith), reside in the sleepy town of Sunray. Sleepy, that is, until enigmatic and smooth talking ex-Brisbane radio star, Ken Sherry (George Shevtsov), rolls into town. Setting their hearts aflutter, Dimity and Vicki-Ann compete for his affections with some catastrophic results.
Winner of the Camera d'or at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival and nominated for 2 AFI Awards, Love Serenade features an all-female creative team in Shirley Barrett (writer/director), Jan Chapman (producer), Mandy Walker (cinematographer), and Denise Haratsis (editor).
