Jordan Belson (1926-2011)
Film historian William Moritz described Jordan Belson as one of the greatest artists of visual music: '[he] creates lush vibrant experiences of exquisite color and dynamic abstract phenomena evoking sacred celestial experiences'.
Honouring the recent passing of the San Francisco-based experimental filmmaker, this program includes many of Belson's most famous works. His painstakingly constructed films are both painterly and cosmological.
