Passenger
A coincidental meeting on board an ocean liner between a former female guard at Auschwitz and one of the concentration camp inmates triggers a series of bitter and shocking memories. With production halted when Munk died in a car accident during shooting, the film was completed with a montage of stills featuring music and commentary.
The powerful and haunting sequences in Auschwitz, and the play of past and present, guilt and expiation clearly demonstrate that this incomplete masterpiece would have been the director's greatest film.
