Salvador Allende
Salvador Allende
Elected President of Chile in 1970, Salvador Allende's socialist government's agenda was met with extreme antagonism and hostility by the US.

After the bloody CIA-backed military coup of September 11, 1973, leading to the instatement of the Pinochet regime, Allende was discovered shot dead.

This moving portrait of Allende and Chilean politics features interviews with those inspired by the leader, as well as footage shot by Patricio Guzmán himself during the Pinochet coup.
