Dark Tales, Serial Archetypes
Jeff Lindsay in conversation with Professor Sue Turnbull
Fairytale archetypes have appeared in many incarnations over the centuries, but a recent and popular disguise is a sociopathic serial killer who inhabits prime time TV in many homes across the world.
Join Jeff Lindsay, author and creator of our favourite serial killer "Dexter", as he explores the renaissance of macabre fairytales in popular culture in conversation with Professor Sue Turnbull.
Lindsay and Turnbull will pick up on many of the themes that have coursed through the
Fairytales Re-imagined Symposium in a fascinatingly insightful discussion on the development of fairy tale motifs in popular culture.
This talk will be followed by a short Q&A, and Jeff Lindsay will be available for a book signing from 6.30-7.30pm at the ACMI Store.
Bookings essential as places are limited. For more information call (03) 8663 2583 or email
