The Day My God Died
The Day My God Died documents the stories of young girls whose lives have been shattered by the child sex trade.
Describing the day they were abducted from their village and sold into servitude as, "The Day My God Died", the stories of the girls' stolen hopes and dreams are woven into an unforgettable examination of the plague of child trafficking.
The film also introduces us to the heroes of the movement working to abolish this epidemic - non-profit organisations, brothel-raiding survivors and women like Anuradha Koirala of Maiti Nepal who has rescued and rehabilitated 12,000 women in Nepal.
This special screening will be followed by a Q&A with Anuradha Koirala. All proceeds will be donated to Maiti Nepal, a not-for-profit organisation working towards the prevention of child trafficking for forced prostitution.
