Fashion Pack: Golden Eighties + Anti Fashion

This must-see double bill features the first two films in the three-part documentary series
Fashion Pack.
The first instalment,
Golden Eighties, explores the new era of fashion introduced in the eighties, including a brilliant and bold Paris-based fashion design, with the emergence of major talents Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, Claude Montana and Azzedine Alaïa.
The second instalment,
Anti Fashion, charts the revolt that followed the the excess of the eighties. Leading the charge in the 'anti-fashion' movement were Japanese designers Yohji Yamamoto and Rei Kawakubo. They were closely followed by the 'Antwerp Six', whose ranks included Gaultier protégé Martin Margiela and Ann Demeulemeester.
The deconstructed and minimalist style championed by the anti-fashion movement was further developed by designers Helmut Lang, Jil Sander, Raf Simons, Hussein Chalayan and, more recently, by American Rick Owens.
Featuring exclusive interviews with designers, collaborators, models, journalists and fashion editors, as well brand new footage, the
Fashion Pack series is a must-see for all fashionistas!
The third film in the series,
Go Global, screens separately.
