When Amidu had a stroke, it took away his family and his livelihood. But it didn't take away his stubbornness and desire to stay independent.

At the time of this story, Amidu was about to move from the anonymity of a nursing home to a smaller, more personal group home, offering more privacy, the chance to make friends his own age and the ability to spend more time with his kids - hard-won opportunities many of us take for granted.
