This extraordinary film, adapted from the novel by Louis Sepulveda, is at once thrilling and deeply moving. It is set in the wild reaches of the upper Amazon and is about a widower Antonio Bolivar (Richard Dreyfuss) whose peaceful life is shaken when he must battle a grief-stricken jaguar, whose cubs have been killed by poachers.
The hunt becomes a prism through which Antonio reconciles his past and stares into the face of his own fear. The stakes are raised and the confrontation - single combat between man and animal - will be final. Includes a Q&A after the screening with the director.
