In depicting the horrific experiences of female prisoners of war, Paradise Road explores the struggle of ordinary people forced to survive extraordinary circumstances.

This student lecture examines the idea that adversity brings out the best and worst in people and explores the place and purpose of the conflict narrative. A particular focus for discussion is the idea of transcending conflict.
