Telling Stories - Studying Narrative in VCE Media
This two-hour lecture explores in detail how production and story elements work to engage audiences within the world of the narrative.
Incorporating many current and classic media text examples, this program also examines how students can begin applying their narrative knowledge to the planning and development of their Media Production Design Plans and Media Products.
It will introduce students to production and story elements, analyse how these contribute to the development of issues, ideas and narrative possibilities, compare and contrast their function, and analyse how audiences consume, and are engaged by film, television and transmedia productions.
The lecture is accompanied by an hour-long visit to Screen Worlds.
