Under The Influence - How We Engage with the Media

How do we engage with the media? Are we passive consumers open to the influence of the industry? Or are we aware of the subtle nuances of the screen and able to analyse, critique and navigate the complex worlds of media construction?

This three-hour program examines the ways in which these two contrasting points of view can be argued. The program investigates the role of the media industry in our culture, their rights and responsibilities and also the rights and responsibilities of audiences.
