Curators, artists, academics and cultural commentators provide insight into historical perspectives on pre-cinematic technologies.
Session 1: Historical Perspectives
Led by Werner Nekes, the first panel discussion focusses upon the history of visual perception and phenomena in pre-cinematic and early cinematic production.
Session 2: Contemporary Perception and Phenomena
The second panel discussion, led by Craig Walsh, focusses upon the contemporary use of visual perception and phenomena, and features a range of perspectives that connect contemporary theory, practice and artistic innovation.
Session 3: Gallery Tour and Informal Discussion
Tour Eyes, Lies & Illusions with curators and artists to discuss the ideas and works in the exhibition. Participants will be encouraged to continue the dialogue in the ACMI Lounge.
