The Wind Will Carry Us
The modern world is confounded by traditional life in this masterwork of such sparse grace and panoramic visual beauty that it distils pure cinema and spirituality from the daily rituals of Kurdish village life.

Strangers from Tehran arrive in a remote mountain town, mysteriously there to record the passing of an old local woman, only to find themselves frustrated by having to wait for her death.

The film's title is taken from a Persian poem by Forugh Farrokhzad, hauntingly featured in the film in a homage from one great artist to another.

"A stunning, lyrical and eloquent exploration of both rural village life and the nature of artistic responsibility" New York Times
