Learn about motion capture and real time animation in this masterclass aimed at students and emerging professionals.
With live interviews and opportunities for questions and interactions, this masterclass teaches how to craft a sequence with virtual production techniques through a demonstration of shooting the ABC children’s animated show Minibeast Heroes and The Adventures of Auntie Ada.
In addition, we will also demonstrate building a 360-degree animated short, showing how looping and layering characters can create content specifically designed for this medium. As a group, participants will also get to help direct a professional motion-capture performer.
Originally founded in 2006, Deakin Motion.Lab was established to intersect research, art and technology. Today, it's considered one of the most technologically advanced motion capture facilities in Australia.
