Undercover
Associate Professor Margaret Maynard, author and fashion historian, introduces this fascinating program and discusses the rise of Australian women's foundation garments!

Undercover, set in Sydney's jazzy snazzy roaring twenties, charts the rise of the House of Berlei and its founder Fred Burley - the pioneering, unsung hero who was determined to lift Australian women out of their whalebone corsets and into the new flattering figure form lingerie.

David Steven's entertaining and often sensitive film screens with two silent Berlei advertisements from the 1920s, courtesy of the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia.
