Perfect Strangers
A one night stand goes spookily awry in the New Zealand gothic mystery thriller starring Sam Neill and Rachael Blake.

"In New Zealand films, monsters are humans - damaged, homicidal, psychotic" (Philip Matthews). New Zealand Gothic bridges horror, mystery-thriller, art movie and avant-garde, combining black humour and a misanthropic sense of amorality.

In this 'Mr Wrong' parable, Rachael Blake portrays a woman who is trapped because of desire, but soon learns how to turn the tables. This gendered power-play takes place between reality and fantasy, in a dance of shifting identities.
