A 'desperate' housewife constructs a new identity in order to even the scales in this cult US indie thriller.
This low-budget, independent Texan production is notable for taking elements of the Woman's Nightmare film - trauma, revenge, identity-transformation - and locating them within a hyper-naturalist, everyday framework. Proceeding mysteriously and gradually, without overt explanations, it follows the path of a rape victim to its devastating conclusion.
