John Cassavetes is Cody, the leather-clad leader of the pack in the cult Roger Corman-produced exploitation biker flick from a screenplay by Charles Griffith (Little Shop of Horrors, Bucket of Blood).
The Skulls strike a bargain with the local sheriff to let them hang out within city limits, but when a beauty pageant contestant finds herself at the receiving end of unwanted advances, Cody and his gang feel the heat from the law.
Made at the height of the movie biker craze, the film has a soundtrack featuring The Devil's Rumble, quoted in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009).
"Cassavetes is excellent.oozing ironic detachment and old school cool. The genius fuzz guitar score is by Davie Allan & the Arrows (The Wild Angels)" - Viewpoints.com
