A Dirty Shame
John Waters' 2004 outing was a return to trashy top form in a giddy sex farce that lives up to the bawdy outrageousness of Pink Flamingos (without quite going in whole-hog for that film's unmitigated shock value).
Sylvia Stickles (Tracey Ullman) is a repressed Baltimore homemaker who morphs into a rampant sex maniac after a freak head injury.
Nothing is taboo in Waters' overheated ode to depravity; his willing cast includes horny husband Vaughn (Chris Isaak), go-go dancer daughter Caprice, a.k.a. Ursula Udders (Selma Blair) and writhing tow-truck driver Ray Ray Perkins (Johnny Knoxville), who is convinced that Sylvia is the long-awaited twelfth apostle of erotic awakening. (Well sure, why not!)
